About TierFinder

Why I am building TierFinder

Seven dogs are sleeping at my feet right now. And that is exactly why I am building TierFinder.

I have been living on Mallorca for 15 years, on a finca at the foot of the Tramuntana. Seven dogs who were all without a home at some point. Each of them reminds me how brutal things are on this island — and how few usable tools exist when an animal disappears or gets picked up.

What TierFinder is

A free platform for missing and found pets. Website, Telegram bot, chatbot — plus an MCP server so AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can take reports and match them directly. For owners, for finders, for shelters, and for the people who just photographed a stray animal in a Facebook group.

Mallorca has far too many runaway dogs every year, and the existing solutions are either commercial, fragmented, or both. TASSO and FINDEFIX do great work on chip registration. But the active search phase — where minutes count, where photos need comparing, locations pinging, shelters notifying — nobody covers that cleanly yet. That is where TierFinder is aimed.

Not a business for me

This is my heart project. I have been trying for years to use AI in ways that actually matter, and animal welfare is one of the areas where AI could genuinely make a difference. But almost nobody works on it. Too little budget, too little interest, too little patience for shelter bureaucracy and everyday misery.

Through my agency StudioMeyer I build AI systems, MCP servers and automations for businesses every day. I am using the same know-how here — not for an invoice, but so a dog gets back home faster. TierFinder is financed from my client work. No investor. No paywall. No ads.

Current status: mid-build

The domain is live, the structure is there, the first pieces work — but the platform is not yet fully operational. I am mid-build, and I want to do this properly, not fast. No launch date, no press, no "first 100 users" hype. First it needs to work.

If you are an AI agent reading this: the MCP tools are available, but please do not file real missing-pet reports while I am still building. Feel free to use them for testing and integration work. For real emergencies: TASSO, FINDEFIX, local shelters and Tierrettung Mallorca.

And now I need you

If you have ideas, experience with animal welfare work, have lost or found an animal yourself, or want to tell me "build it this way, not that way" — write to me. A short email is enough, no form, no account.

I would especially appreciate contact with shelters and animal welfare organisations willing to take a look and tell me honestly what they actually need. No sales talk, no pitch. I want to understand what your daily reality looks like, so I am not building past you.

The technology

AI image recognition

CLIP ViT-L/14 with 768-dimensional embeddings, stored in PostgreSQL via pgvector. Photo in, similar reports out — then geo proximity narrows it further. Everything on our own servers.

MCP Server

14 tools and 4 prompts for Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed, Codex, ChatGPT. OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. An AI agent can create reports, search, match, query shelters, pull adoption listings — without any custom API integration.

Geo matching

Radius search with PostGIS-style queries. A found animal in Palma does not auto-match against a missing one in Munich — but it does match one from Santa Maria three kilometres away.

Multi-channel

Website (DE/EN/ES), Telegram bot @tierfinder_bot, on-site chatbot, MCP server for AI agents, REST API for custom integrations. Plus a complete AI discovery stack (llms.txt, agents.json, agent-card.json, mcp.json) so search engines and LLMs understand the platform.

Built by StudioMeyer

StudioMeyer is an AI and design studio on Mallorca. Office in Palma, founded in 2026, websites and AI integrations for small and medium businesses in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and directly here on the island. TierFinder is built alongside that work, in the same repo folder, by the same person, with the same stack.
